The Wellness Committee seeks to facilitate Blessed Sacrament School in articulating the following Vision Statement:

Each child is a gift from God. Blessed Sacrament is committed to providing a school environment that promotes and protects children's health, well-being, and ability to learn by supporting healthy eating and physical activity. By facilitating learning through the support and promotion of good nutrition and physical activity, schools contribute to the basic health status of children. Good health enhances the potential for optimal student performance. The wellness policy strives to:

1. Provide a comprehensive learning environment for developing and practicing lifelong wellness behaviors.

2. Support and promote healthy dietary habits contributing to student's health and academic performance.

3. Provide all students in grades 4K-8 opportunities for age-appropriate physical activity during the school day.

4. Provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to promote and protect their own health.
