Checking the WIreless Switch Print

We often get reports of cart laptops "that don't work" or "cannot login". This is often a result of somebody playing with the physical wireless on or off switch on the laptop. Please always consider checking for that problem if you are having this issue.

(NOTE: The purpose of this switch is not relevant to the School. It is used to physically force the wireless off for security reasons. The switch cannot be disabled except by damaging the laptop and voiding its warranty.)

The location of the switch is usually in the front left of the laptop, but hopefully these videos will help you locate the switch and make sure wireless is turned on. If Wireless is turned on and the problem continues, please report the problem and the laptop label to guru. These are per the various laptops we have. They are all really similar.

If you remember one thing: "Green is Good". If you cannot see the color green on the wireless switch, it is likely off.
