Welcome to the Blessed Sacrament Sports Web Site

PHILOSOPHY

The goals of teamwork, good sportsmanship, skill development, fun, and positive self-esteem are of primary importance in athletics and will enhance the competitive experience. At Blessed Sacrament, we believe that athletics should:

o Be a complement to the Parish educational program.

o Provide experience to help boys and girls develop a Christian attitude toward competition and cooperation.

o Help boys and girls develop physically, mentally, and emotionally.

o Develop a sense of teamwork and cooperation.

As we start this year's basketball season, we are continuing to use this web site to be the best source for all information related to boy's basketball at Blessed Sacrament.  Each team in each grade has their own dedicated web pages so that parents and players can keep up to date on all the latest information related to games and practices.  Through these web pages you'll be able to see practice and game schedules for all sports, get venue directions to all of the MAISL locations in our league, and communicate with coaches on changes to schedules (including weather related cancellations). So please check here frequently as we will try to keep you informed throughout the season.

As always, we would appreciate any feedback you have and look forward to making this site useful to you.

THANKS & GO FRIARS!

IMPORTANT WEATHER RELATED INFORMATION

In the past, there have been questions about holding practice on days when school has been cancelled due to weather.  Maryann Slater, and the Athletic Committee have discussed this at length and it has been officially decided to follow WIAA rules so that there will not be practices held on days when school is cancelled due to weather.  The Athletic Committee is working to update the Athletic Handbook to reflect this as well.

If you have any questions, please contact Maryann Slater, Principal.
