Eaglets are growing  

We are watching the three eaglets in homeroom 203. A webcam on an eagle nest in Decorah, Iowa shows a pair of eagles in a nest 80 feet up in a cottonwood tree, 24 hours a day.  If you scroll to the bottom of the home page, there are some delighful highlights videos of feeding and even a visit from a racoon.

Field Trip

Fourth and fifth grade students will visit the Mackenzie Environmental Center on Thursday May 10th.  Here is a link to their web page. www.mackenziecenter.org

Students will observe Wisconsin wildlife, climb a tall fire tower, visit museums, and more.

Social Studies

We are studying the West in Social Studies

Students are doing an excellent job practicing their states and capitals. At the end of May, they will need to know all of the states and capitals for all the U.S. regions.  Here are some web sites for practice.

Reading (Room 203) – We are reading Shiloh by Phylllis Naylor.  Students will have reading assignments as well as vocabulary and response questions.  Students may include their reading time for this novel in their monthly reading minutes for their reading calendar.  


Religion – We are studying the Beatitudes.  Ask you students to show you the "fortune teller game" used as a memory tool to learn the Beatitudes.
