Mrs. Elizabeth First

Experience: I've worked at Blessed Sacrament in many capacities since 2002 and became full-time in 2014. I've also served as a small-business consultant and as a health care manager (UW Hospital and later the Waisman Center Clinics) earlier in my career. 

Why I work at a school: I love the variety of managing the office at Blessed Sacrament. One minute I may be writing a newsletter, the next comforting a child with a tummy ache. I love working with the teachers and staff. I get lonely in the summer when the kids are gone, though! They are what really make my job feel meaningful. 

More about me: My husband and I were married at Blessed Sacrament many years ago and have been parish members since 1986. We have three adult children and I'm "Mom-mom" to Lane, age 12. In my spare time, I knit and crochet. I'm also crazy about chickens. My favorite chicken is a beautiful hen named Hermione and she lays aqua-colored eggs!
