Before teaching, I worked in a bank for 4 years in my native country of Malta. Besides teaching, I also played for weddings, accompany students for festivals and competitions and play for Masses. In addition, for the past 16 years I have been the Local Midwest Representative for the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (London), an international music examining program held in over 90 countries in the world.
About Me; I was born in Malta, a tiny archipelago island in the Mediterranean. I came to the US to further my music studies and never went back, although I miss the sea, the food and the culture. I also love languages and have studied seven (Maltese, English, Italian, Spanish, French, German and Arabic--and, if you include Music, I've studied 8!) I have two beautiful teenage boys that keep me on my toes. They love soccer and play trumpet and clarinet. Coming from the island where St. Paul was shipwrecked in 60AD, I was raised in a strong Catholic culture. I believe that every child has the ability to learn, to enjoy and to make music. Music is a large part of my life and it's a gift I was given that I love sharing with children. I see the importance of music in a child's life right from birth.
