We rely on your generosity. Tuition only covers a portion of the cost of educating our children. You can help support our mission with our "painless" charitable shopping fundraising through RaiseRight!
What is RaiseRight (also known as SCRIP)?
RaiseRight (or SCRIP) is a gift card sales program that raises money for the school AND provides a tuition credit program (or cash rebate) for families. It is the ultimate win-win! Pay yourself back while making your normal everyday purchases!
How does it work?
Blessed Sacrament buys gift cards from RaiseRight/Great Lakes Scrip and local vendors. We pay less than face value but sell cards to you at face value. The difference between what we pay and the face value is how we make money on the program. This is referred to as the "rebate" and it ranges from 1.5% to 20%, depending on the retailer--BSS gets half and you get half. For example – you buy a $100 Lands' End gift card and Lands' End offers an 18% rebate. Blessed Sacrament pays $82 for this card. The school receives $9 to put towards the school budget and your family receives a $9 tuition credit or cash rebate. Electronic cards (e-cards) are also available.
How do I "cash in" my rebate?
Rebates are applied to your tuition account shortly after April 1 each year. If you've already paid your tuition in full, we can issue you a rebate check. Cash in your pocket -- woo hoo!
What kind of retailers are available through RaiseRight/SCRIP?
There are literally hundreds of retailers available, including grocery stores, gas stations, movie theaters, on-line retailers and national restaurant chains. Most national brands offer both physical cards as well as e-cards. We add in local retailers such as Woodman's, Milio's and Klinke Cleaners to ensure that we have the variety you are looking for! Some of the most popular purchases include Woodman's, Target, Amazon.com, GAP, Noodles & Company, Culvers and Kwik Trip.
How do I get started?
Getting started is easy. Call the school office to get your BSS enrollment code. Once you have the code, simply go to www.raiseright.com and register. You'll use the BSS enrollment code to designate Blessed Sacrament as "your" non-profit during the registration process.
How and when are orders placed? How and when do I get my cards?
We order every other week during the school year and once per month during the summer. Online orders must be placed by midnight Sunday of each order week and pickup is the following Thursday after school. If SCRIP is not picked-up during this time, it will be available in the school office anytime the office is open. Order deadlines and pick-up dates will be noted on the calendar on the school web site.
How do I pay for my RaiseRight order?
What is the fine print?
