For the children's safety, we require that all volunteers complete the Virtus program as well as a background check.
Required Volunteer Training
FAMILY VOLUNTEER GUIDELINES
There are countless ways to get involved--serving hot lunch, assisting with SCA events, participating in committees, or helping out at the Christmas Market or Parish Oktoberfest! Each family is required to earn 4 “points" (different activities are worth different points) per academic year. The requirement is per family, not per student.
Some volunteer activities will fulfill this requirement in a single go. These include:
EVENT VOLUNTEER SIGNUP
The link below takes you to a Signup Genius page listing all school events, and you can use this signup to volunteer for the entire school year. The point value is indicated for each volunteer slot. As each event draws closer, event chairs will use these signups to communicate and coordinate event planning. Also remember that volunteering at Parish events such as Christmas Market or Oktoberfest will also count toward school family volunteer requirements. These larger parish events are already included in the volunteer signup link below.
Sign up to Volunteer!ded to volunteers serving hot lunch and volunteering in the classroom or for a particular event (i.e. Friar Fest, Grandparents Day, Pumpkin Counting, etc).
Thank you for helping us make Blessed Sacrament School a place full of fun activities for both kids and families!

The Blessed Sacrament School Community Association, known as the SCA, is a group of parents who support the school through essential functions such as community building, event planning, and fundraising. The SCA plans events for staff and families, from the Welcome Back Picnic to the Staff Appreciation Dinner, and many in between. Time and again, when asked what they believe is the best part of Blessed Sacrament School, parents and students respond: "the community." Joining the SCA is a great way to get to know other school families and to bolster this amazing community. We are currently looking for new members to join the Executive Board of the SCA, as well as volunteers for our school events. Want to know more? Please e-mail us at [email protected]
